if there was a portal to a certain time, if you went back and forth between them, wouldnt you restart and be at where you entered that time, so like leaving and reentering a dungeon.
your time, lets say year 2007
medeval time, lets say year uhm... generic medeval year
if portal is set to the medeval time and you go through, if a couple of years pass, and you leave, you'd be at the year you left on one side of the portal, and if you reentered you would be at the year said portal went to. unless portals have clocks...
