So me and Sarm were partying in FFO outside Aldeae when a new player logs in. At first everything was fine until...

A bit annoyed at the rudeness, I decided to do something about it.

I log on to find that you don't instantly have access to server-talk, the equivalent of worldsay in Mystic Journey. Before receiving it I have to go through a introductory tutorial learning the oh so hard to grasp concepts of killing innocent squirrels, bartering with mysterious mustached men in the middle of nowhere, banking my gold and spending my skill points before talking to the Priest. Towards the end of my training, an Administrator kept warping to me and at first I thought it was due to suspicion about my name, JoinThisAddy. Instead he was following through with his promise from the FFO ad and was trying to give me a huge amount of gold.

I silently chuckled to myself about how much he'd like me after I did what I was about to do. Right before this happened I found out later, Sarm had logged on and done the same thing though I hadn't witnessed it. Sarm didn't log what occur so I can't copy/paste the exact chat log though he did kindly tell me basically what happened.

Note: 'Baa' in this exchange is Sarm incognito.
(World)Baa: "Baa: (FFO IP) come plz free stuff"
(World)SomeGuy: ban him..
(World)AnotherGuy: BAN
Connection died.

Here's how mine went.

Connection died.

So if they do it to us, FFO just gives them a 30 minute mute and allow them to still play. They however ban you from the server. Hope you enjoyed reading this.
It was hard to follow who was who. Who is Baa and who is "Red Mage"? Are they the same person?

From the look of the chat log, are you sure you don't mean Mystic Journey?

Please clarify. :\

Oops sorry. Ya in FFO the system is built so that you see the person's name when they begin their journey but after that they'll just be called their class until they introduce themselves to you. So ya that Red Mage is Baa.

Also thanks for pointing out the typo about the game name, in my feverish zeal to get this posted I renamed the game Mystic Quest in my head. Thanks!
"Red Mage" in FFO was named Baa, but they have this thing set up where you have to introduce your character to someone if you want the person to know your name. I only knew it was Baa because of the warning that Kumog gave.

I stole his name when I logged onto Mystic Journey and parroted his message.
