Given that the client's preload_rsc var being set to a URL is ignored when connecting to localhost is intended behavior the only way to test preload_rsc changes is to connect to your local server using your remote IP which in turn results in at the very least a 30 second wait and at most having to watch an advertisement.
In a perfect world this wouldn't be so bad since you'd have to test it once or twice - but this isn't a perfect world and adding extra time or an annoying advert on top of every thing else to test something is ridiculous.
The feature I am proposing is adding a world setting to Dream Daemon that lets you toggle between the legacy behavior of localhost connections being given a direct download of resources and it respecting whatever preload_rsc is set to.
