And thus another year passes and my age on BYOND increases...

Sometimes I do wonder if my life would have been better had I never found BYOND. I mean, in a lot of ways BYOND has taught me a lot - programming, administration, morality, mathematics, typing properly on the Internet and other pretty random things. But given the amount of time I've wasted in BYOND in the past 3 years, I can't help but wonder if I had spent that time on something more productive (let's say my school work), would my life be better right now? I would probably be doing better in school right now, I would have spent more time on things I like to do offline and I wouldn't be addicted to this =P.

But to be honest, I think I would just have found another distraction (or a series of distractions) if I had never found BYOND. And since BYOND has had an overall positive effect on my life (or so I think), I think it was good that someone pointed it out to me on a forum on the 19th of December 2003.
