So this isn't a major game changing feature request or is it something that will help in PVP. It's more of an RP related thing.
In games such as Eternia and Spires of Agartha, you had the ability to write books (biographies, stories, retelling of major events from different perspectives, etc. etc.) and people could go to bookcases to read said books.
It really added to immersion when you were RPing and reading about epic battles, fictional tales, or even just guides to certain things from hundreds of years ago.
It's a minor request, but I feel like it would add to the RP alot down the line.

After thinking about this a bit more, some restrictions would need to be added. Such as maybe not being able to unlock it till after space travel has been unlocked to prevent metagaming races, planets, etc. Since I wanted to plan this around all books being available to all races and planets.

Actually, there's an easy way to balance this. Make the books be written in a language selected by the player.
So if say a Namekian writes a book, Somebody from earth who can't speak namekian will see gibberish. This way you have to learn the language of the race to get access to it's knowledge. |
But is language gonna be in Genesis though? Cause it seems it's not gonna be added any time soon.

There's already text-storage items I believe, datapads.
It'd be nice to have a datapad repository somewhere. Also I miss language so bad. |
