This issue has been resolved.
New bug by trying to drag a frame with the scroll button (pressing it on the frame and dragging it to the frame counter). It doesn't happen all the time, but it surely does happen. I get hangs all the time when trying to replicate this bug.

Interestingly this issue only showed up in release mode. I have yet to determine why.
