I have recently posted a new game on byond. I think I posted it correctly, Followed the tutorials and everything seems to be in working order. When I click download game on the game page it downloads just fine and I click host new session dream daemon pops up and it runs off a port etc. However when I join the game I am not receiving host commands and am unable to start the game. All I can do is sit in the lobby when I try to hit join game it gives me the error of cant join game, game hasn't started yet. Another issue that appears is on the byond pager my friends can't see me in the game. I don't know enough about byond to know why that is happening. If anyone could help me with these 2 problems it would be greatly appreciated.
I have the same problem, which is quite annoying. You need to portforward your router and create a static IP address...
Use google and find tutorials.

However, i know exactly what to do myself but still it won't work for me. I have tryed on 3 diferent computers and more then 5 routers/modems(ADSL) and i still haven't gotten a positive connection.

I am able to host other games like gold guardians and solar conquest and my friends can see me in game/ join my game. I don't believe it is a port forwarding issue. Maybe it has something to do with the way the game was made. Do any of you programmers out there know why I am not given host commands when I click host a session on dream daemon.
Did you change the hub settings in the source code?
I did not nor do I know how. Is there a way I could send you the source code so you could do it falacy?
Is anyone willing to take a look at the code to see if they can change the hub settings?

These are the values you're looking for to connect the game to your hub:
hub
hub_password

You can do a Find All to see where they're defined.

As for the host commands, I have no idea how REO handles those. There's probably a list of strings in the code or a text file somewhere.

Also, if you have a router, you'll probably have to port forward it. If your not familiar with port forwarding, there's a guide on http://portforward.com/ (just select your router model, skip the ad, and select BYOND Dream Seeker Host).

You may also need to open the port in your firewall/allow dream daemon.
So I fixed the hosting and port forwarding issues I am able to host games like castle, gold guardians, etc. My issue now is I am still unable to find the host commands for REO does anyone mind trying to host their own REO game and see if they can work out where the host commands are?
