Exactly two weeks to the day, five more bombs have gone off in London. One in a bus (again), and the rest in the underground (again).
This sucks ass.
I wonder what they'll have in store in another two weeks time, eh?

My circle is good, baby. But yeah. I mean, that's what you get for fuc- er, mucking with terrorists. I guess. Not nice though.
Let's just hope the public doesn't go all anti-semitic on us, right? |
No we (the public) are being told to stay calm so that the goal of the terrorists (to scare us(terrorize)) may not be met =P

"No we (the public) are being told to stay calm so that the goal of the terrorists (to scare us(terrorize)) may not be met =P"
Makes sense. Thats basically what they told us on 9/11. I broke my normal schedule and didn't watch the news today, so I didn't know anything happened. And to think if my plans had went tyhe way they were supposed to, I would have been in London today... =/ |
Now, as I recall, the World Trade center was originally bombed over a decade ago before the current US interventionism, and then a decade later the 9/11 attacks occurred before Afghanistan, and before Iraq (part 2)...the attacks occurred, and then we went after the terrorists.
So how does it work to avoid terrorist attacks by not going after terrorists? Without those terrorist attacks, we quite probably (and possibly to our shame) wouldn't have gone into Afghanistan or Iraq. If the Taliban hadn't helped get us attacked, the Taliban would probably still be in power today. Perhaps the message should be: If terrorists don't want to be messed with, they shouldn't fly planes into buildings and bomb people. |

Eh....I had forgotten about that. I hadn't even been born yet. But still.... YES we need to take action against terrorists. YES we need to make ourselves safe. But we do NOT need to go blowing up people without evidence. Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? *sigh* |
Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? You mean like the videotaped press conference with Bin Laden and company prior to 9/11 officially declaring war on the US, and then the video with Bin Laden talking about sending the terrorists to blow up the World Trade Center, and all the plans discovered in Al Queda hiding places and such? Perhaps their repeated claims of having bombed one of our ships earlier, and promises to attack us again? Or were you needing some other evidence...? |
so we attack iraq? and spend 4 billion dollars doing so? bin laden & co. hated saddam hussein... there's no connection there, deadron... i dont understand how the evidence you provided is relevant?
|
well, *if* i even understand what jamesburrow is referring to in the first place...
and don't get me wrong. saddam hussein *did* need to be taken care of... i just feel like everything went all wrong. it just seems shady to me. *shrug* |
I wonder when a bus bomb will reach America, seems like London is takeing some shots. ;\

I agree, I just thought our reasoning behind the attack was wrong. |

nah... jokes aside, i'm really upset about these occurrences, and sincerely hope that it comes to an end soon. please beware a "uk version" of "the patriot act" though... i have a funny feeling that your pal tony blair will try to shove something like that down your throats with a teaspoon of xenophobic fear to help wash it down.
oh elly... poor poor elly. god damn terrorist fucking bastards. hope your circle is well, buddy.
