In any case, it's all moot because the first release will only have the eight standard races. I intend to balance them fully before I start throwing deuses into my machina.

I always liked knightly hares in the Redwall book series.

"Javelins to arms chaps! Wot wot!"

I hope hares are one of the starting races.

Hares and Rabbits are similar enough (even though technically different in genetic structure) that they're lumped into the same Rabbit race. I actually have "synonyms" for races already taken down, so you can eventually choose to be "Bartholomew the Falcon" or "Bartholomew the Raven", but sadly I haven't integrated an interface for selecting your synonym just yet.
