Although the temp server is still in place, and is staying up nicely, I wanted to provide a status update to all of the fans regarding the progress of the primary server's return.
My dsl company, speakeasy.net, is having a plethora of issues in dealing with SBC (a subsidiary of SATAN AND ALL THINGS EVIL, Inc.) Apparently SBC is refusing to cooperate in the process of speakeasy's reconnection/re-establishment of my circuit, and I didnt even find this out until yesterday (7 days of downtime already.)
I have been calling their asses so many times per day that I now have been assigned a personal installation coordinater, and a supervising overseer to help the process along. I was even credited 120.00$ for the inconveniences, by speakeasy, even though *none* of this is even their fault! I think that's friggin' awesome. No complaints there.
Anyways, we're probably looking at a few more days of downtime, but I will keep you posted.
