Ugg, you guys take stories way to literally. If you read the bible literally obviously there aren't going to be benevolent overtones.
And that's how you get fundamentalists. |
explain to us these benevolent overtones that you find when not taking the book seriously.

And uh yeah, not reading the book literally doesn't mean not taking it seriously. But I don't know if someone like you could understand that. |
So WorldBeaver's argument is basically this:
"okay it says genocide but it really means 'love thy neighbour' you're obviously reading it wrong how stupid are you" |
Ok, ok. It's really easy to use God to explain everything we cant. And thats what i think happend in the early days. They couldnt expain anything, so they made up a God. But, then what really did create everything? Hell, something crazy had to happen right? If you really sit down and think about everything, we live on a sphere made of rock, circling around a ball of energy, floating in a maybe infinite amount of nothing. It's crazy isnt it? So what did create it, who knows.
- But i also have to point out. We probobly spend billions on churches, and not just that, but we base are whole lives off of God. ex- Dont do this, youll go to hell. And the funny thing is, there hasnt been any REAL proof that God exists. Thats CRAZY. -If there was a God, he could at least show some sort of sign in the last 2000 years eh? |
