I was going to ignore this whole thing... but people are still talking about it. The game has since dropped a bit in rank- but not that much.
The ranking system has always been a travesty. Did it really take a crappy Naruto game hitting #1 for people to realize it?
I know nothing about the creator of this game (Goditz?), except that he is exactly the type of developer that the BYOND Staff has been nourishing all along. Goditz cant' code, can't spell, and can't design a game... PERFECT! Let's give him help in the code problems forum. Let's ignore the fact that 99% of DBZ/Naruto games are "rips" and let them take over the unpublished section. Let's allow a developer to threaten his players with deleting their savefiles if they don't rank his game. Let's hold mediocrity and incompetence up on a pedestal while talented game developers abandon the system one by one.
Congratulations BYOND, here is your star developer!
Who cares which game is #1? The top ten games could all be Naruto or DBZ and it wouldn't make a difference. The system is worthless, and most everyone knows it. At this point, all that it does is chase away new users; or at the very least confuse them. From the incomplete mess that is the guild system to a published games section full of unplayable crap, the BYOND Staff is really out of touch.
Plus I doubt he checks anyway. Seems like an empty threat to me, maybe I should try it.... Yeeeeah, waste of time.

Alot of people abuse the rank system. And Goditz abuses mental illness obviously.
Anyways, Silk. Were you not the one who wanted your own game getting number one? So meaning you cared about it. Silk has no need to be jealous, once he releases AA publicly it will be rank #1 within a week. He just wanted to prove that the ranking system is flawed.

If someone threatened to delete my savefile if I changed the rank, I won't even play their game. He should just use world.export() in mob/Login() and add/remove the skill.

He's not doing that. You can play his game without ranking and not be punished in any way.
If you, you know, read what it actually said on the hub, you'd realize that Goditz removes savefiles if you rank his game only to get a special ability and remove it; which is actually not that bad of a thing. He's basically saying that if you abuse his gift system, he's going to delete your character.
