Currently it is impossible change what MIDI device the Byond Dream Seeker client will use, resulting terrible sounding MIDIs because of awful default Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth. Usually if a user wanted to use a different midi device, like CoolSoft VirtualMIDISynth or a Sound Canvas, they would usually have to do some MIDI Mapper changes. Unfortunately MIDI Mapper was "removed" (but still could be changed with certain software) from Windows Vista and 7 and is gone entirely from Windows 8 onward.
Most methods for letting Win8+ users use their own midi device, like setting Windows Media Player midi device and other similar Registry editing shenanigans don't seem to work for Byond.
I propose adding a drop-down box somewhere in Preferences that lets a user pick a MIDI-out device.
