Part of my dev flow has started to include waiting for my test server to stop so i can start the compile operation if i forgot to stop it as i started making the next stage of changes.
This would not be necessary if DD released the lock on the .rsc the moment world/Del() exits and the internal world shutdown started, rather than waiting for the end.
I'm gonna guess (but i could be wrong) that the rsc is not needed or used during this part of world shutdown.

I suppose it depends on what events happen in the internal shutdown. I'm not sure I can guarantee the .rsc isn't needed, and AFAIK the cache shutdown is one of the last acts as the .dmb is unloaded.
