DBZrelegr8 never proved anything. DBZrelegr8 was a stupid fad that a lot of people who even liked the ranking system bought into because that's what everybody else was doing. If Elation had not hidden the hub entry, how long do you think it would have remained at #1? Besides, can you even name any legitimate reasons why the ranking system is flawed?

What the fuck do you people mean that it doesn't say anything about the quality of the game? Of course it does. It means lots of people like it.

It means lots of people ranked it high. That doesn't mean the like it. Some guy bribed people into voting for it by buying them memberships.

Welcome to Capitalism. First of all, do you have any proof of this happening? Secondly, any good Byonder would alert the admin. Third, what an idiot. Why didn't he just make his own accounts instead of bribing people like a retard? And why don't you people take it up with the perpetrators instead of sitting around complaining to no end about the ranking system?

Well, bribing people for say.... $5 each is a lot cheaper than buying memberships for $15 each. Also, "taking it up with the perpetrators" is rather worthless since you usually get ignored or flamed. Admins don't care because it makes byond money.

It seems that most Byonders are in favor of corruption of the ranking system to earn BYOND money.

The staff didn't care, if I remember correctly. They were getting income and only throwing off and already thrown off system, so what does it matter?

O-Matic your example here sucks basically because, the majority of people in the US did vote Bush in and would agree that he was a good president at the time(I'm not one of the majority). Unfortunately elections, unlike the BYOND Member ranking system, happen only once every 4 years. The BYOND Member system is a continuous system that is always updating. Thus, the people who got the game up there have to still be in agreement that they like the game for some particular reason(ex. the game maker giving them a membership) at all times.

Yeah, your analogy didn't work, and I can't beleive no one else picked that up.

Furthermore, BYOND was defeated by this very same game. Bolts spammed BYOND with support forms under the instruction of Goditz when their hub was suppressed; consequently, BYOND allowed this game to continue to exist.

As for the insulters/trolls, ad hominem attacks are boring. If you're going to attack a person, attack their ideas, and perhaps have a constructive debate rather than filling the blogs with filth.
