A few dudes and I just built some battle bots in Gmod and had a little war to see who could knock the other guy out of his car.

Of course, my flipper idea won 8)

Here's some pics, but keep in mind what is viewed in under thirty seconds here actually occurred over a span of 5 hours or so. We took a long time to build, heh.

and the victory dance
Cat330 is into Half life 2 mods, you might wanna talk to him, sure you'd two get along.
...lol...giant purple John Deere...
Cool. I have built some crazy contraptions in GMod, although the only one I have proof of is my snake bridge, let me find the video... Well, it looks like it never made it to my new server after the switch. I'll upload it later tonight.

Nice "Battlebots". There is a video on youtube of two really good bots righting. They both were well designed and the guys controlling them make it look easy.
I liked Gmod, but I could never figure out how to make the more complex stuff; I sometimes had trouble making simple stuff.
GMod 10 will have video tutorials showing you how to use almost all of the tools. I never found GMod to be all that complicated, but I have been messing with it since version 6 or 7.
I made a pinball machine. :D Ice friction ftw. Entity Command Suite makes building large things really easy. For a map to build on, I like to use freespace, its large, but has several settings. A hangar, a nice platform, another large building and others. Only thing is doesnt have is water which is kind of a disappointment as there is a spot where water would go nicely.

Edit: I recommend freespace03.
Pinball machine :O

That sounds fantastically fun! ZC, you should come play with us sometime and make cars or maybe you can lead us in a pinball machine construction.
Sucks that you'll have to pay for GMod 10. Although I'll be buying it, it still kinda sucks.

I have played GMod for awhile now, just got back into it.
Eh, in a way, I'm glad that youll have to buy it. It's awesome, Garry has put a LOT of work into GMod, it's great he is finally gonna really make money with it. Plus he'll be able to publish Facewound on Steam if he finishes it.

It'd be great to play with you guys, I've played with Hikato and Darke. We had a little war with the weapons. :) Then after a few crashes, we started really building.
The game? You're a bad, bad man.
