Nope, I don't have a problem with their contest or that they lowered the prizes. My problem is the way they worded this announcement in the blog post; if Jackguy and Aaiko are going to protend like they're some big corporation (=p) then they would do well to have some officialness, tact and respect. I don't act like we're some big corperation. In fact, I'm just a volunteer worker (I don't know how that's connected, just some info). Chances are that I'll probably leave in a few years. As for the tact and respect... It wasn't completely tactless, heh. We didn't point fingers at anyone, so we didn't directly disrepect a certain group of people, though they probably know who they are. I didn't write anything about the post though. Aaiko did that. *points*
Anywho, Aaiko has me slaving over getting Texas Hold'em added to the Iccusino, even while I'm on a month BYOND haitus. I don't know how to end this post, so I'll just say | |

That rule might disqualify "Ninjas Network" (see the game "Chip's Challenge" -- screenshot available at http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/f/f7/ Chip%27s_Challenge.png). At least according to wikipedia, it's copyrighted. All of the icons from Ninjas Network were created by either Pmac or myself specifically for Ninja's Network. They were created in the style of Chip's Challenge, but they all differ. | |

I think by 100% original, they meant no copyrighted material or fan material, Wiz. If a game can be disqualified for an unoriginal idea, then Paint should be disqualified for being like Pictionary, and Meteor should be disqualified for being like Missile Defense.

Good job place winners! MAR did reasonably well for a game that was still pretty early in developement, we tried to chug it out as fast as we could, but with Vancegetto moving at the same time it was nigh impossible. I hadn't seen the other games that were submitted from DWP before :P
One little thing that irks me, I can't beleive we got a lower Graphics score than pebbles! We had a lot of things done by ,the brilliant , Conaire(ex. HUD), and I thought the game looked good. Of course, I'm not sure if it got uglified with last minute graphics tweaks. | |
