I don't know if anyone has seen previews for this movie, or knows the character from the Ali G show, but I know when I first heard about it I was pumped. It comes out November 3rd, and looks funny as hell.
Well, I nabbed a pass for a free pre-screening from a buddy at work, and got to see it last week. All I will say for now is that it WAS funny as hell, and I'd reccomend it.
If you have no sense of humor, or are easily offended, I would not reccomend you see it.
Especially if you meet one or both of those, and you're Jewish. Then it's definitly just going to piss you off.

Sacha Cohen is jewish himself; any jewish people who get offended by him would have to be pretty retarded. I agree with jewish people getting pissed is retarded, but you KNOW it's going to happen, that's just the way people are. From what I've read, the nation of Kazakhstan is pretty pissed about it already. I'd say there are a good mix of interviews and just messing with random people on the street, in the subway, and even in a church. While it could have just been very very good acting, most of it did seem impromptu. There are a few things that almost had to be set up because the reprecussions would have been way to great for the risk |
That said, it looks great. I love Borat and Ali G... Borat is significantly better in the situations where he is tricking normal people. The live performances and interviews he does are boring and repetitive, I think mainly because that is not what the act is about.
