I've checked and the list goes on for pages and pages. The only sites that I gave permission to host my game were UGOplayer.com, newgrounds.com and flashreloaded.com. Every other site has stolen my game and hosted it. At least a few had the author set to "William Heslam"; some didn't even have that or accreditted it to "Flashportal.com". >=|

From now on I'm making my games read the address of the site it is playing on and shutting itself down (or crashing the browser) if it's run on a site that it doesn't belong on.

Some of these sites have got 10,000 views on my game. That's a lot of views for something I didn't even give them permission to have. The annoying thing is that not only did they steal it but they didn't contact me by email or whatever to ask if it was okay!
Man people put disclaimers at the begining of their flash saying the websites it was made for, and if you see it anywhere else they stole it. If you could put a blocker to prevent other sites from showing it, that would be cool, but you would have to allow people to download it.
Yeah, I guess I could find a way. I dunno.
Threaten to sue!

your white, youll win hands down
Dont go to Ebaumsworld.com It is ENTIRELY made of stolen material. Plus, it has a script that calls for sites such as fark.com and somethingaweful.com to waste their bandwith. Plus, the owner of Ebaumsworld.com is a millionaire because so many people go there, so he sells a lot of advertisements for a lot of money. Bastard.
Spade, do you have stairs in your house?
To be honest, I'd be kind of honored.

Pissed off, but honored.
That was just what I was gonna post, it's shitty that stuff gets stolen all the time on the internet, Ebaums makes a living off it, but relish in the fact that it was worthy of being stolen, and that people enjoy it.
To be honest, I'd be kind of honored.

Yeah I kind of like the attention. I mean this is definitely going to happen again with my next game so maybe I can take advantage of all the views from random people. By leaching resources of Ebaum's world or something*.

*meh, probably just a sign that says "I am great!"
If you put in a website block then people will just try to decompile the flash and remove it.

It sucks, but what can you do? :/
u made it? it's pretty adictive =)

too easy though =/
Sarm: he could... like... install laser defences in his flash, which would cut off their hands when they try to decompile. Yeah... that'll show 'em.
You could email the site's and demand they take your game down and if they don't you report them.

Work the blocker into the movie's gameloop and other assorted bits so if you try and take out the blocker it will wreck the entire game. =P

A lot of them don't have any contact details. I could use a WHOIS but I really can't be bothered. Safety in numbers, I guess- there's too many of 'em.

Meh, I'm not bothered. It was just a surprise to me because I hadn't given out the game to anyone.
Sue them and get rich, dowg.

But if they can decompile it back to source code then I don't see how you could accomplish that... :-/

Then again, I know nothing about Flash. I'm pretty sure there are some commercial protection systems for it, though, so maybe you can figure out how they work and duplicate it somehow.
Well, even basic security of that type would put an end to most of it.
Or you can just include a website address in the corner, to where if they remove it, they fuck the game.
Actually, you can include flash files inside of flash. They could easily make a new flash file to be a layer over the old one, hiding the logo.

It doesn't matter if they decompile it back to the source code. If I did it 'well' enough it'd be like being asked to fix Zeta, or understand Lummox's 4k code. =P

Every protection system has, can be or will be hacked and broken. That's a given, I guess.
