Well then, Storywise Fullmetal Alchemist is about the best one out there. It touched me so much, and had alot of great life lessons thrown in here too. I don't think I've ever cried that much before over an anime >.>

I didnt like FMA too much. Wasnt my kind of Anime.
Reason I like Detective Conan is because I try to solve the mysteries before he does. The writer is just a genious when it comes to setting up plots. For those of you who dont know what Detectivce Conan is, its Case Closed in dubbed format. |
Ranma 1/2 > All ... well, in terms of comedy anime + it's my opinion so go play in the mud >_> It may be old but it is funny :[

I gotta go with RealQMark's point:
Judging an entire series based on the fights (even if they're the most common and prominent element, as the case may be), is a rather shallow way of looking at it... I'm a HUGE fan of DBZ (if it isn't painfully obvious), yet to me the fight scenes are almost just "scenery" for the story... To me, DBZ is more about heroism, good vs evil, striving to be the best, etc... Not "each character has their own personal fighting style, and can do all of these intricate battle maneuvers"... I simply don't care that the punches all look alike... I don't care that many of the attacks are interchangeable... I don't care that each fight has the same set of basic steps... These things aren't what the show is about (though, I can see why this is assumed by casual onlookers) |
Well, I'm only what? 10-20 days late for this post. Tehe. Oh well.
But, yes. Naruto is a thousand times better than DBZ, hands down. And this is coming from someone who use to love DBZ, and came inside special from playing outside to watch it when it came on at 5:00PM or whatever it was. LOL. But, Naruto. Yes. It's great. Although the American voice overs SUCK, you need to watch the Japanese version. It's great. I think I watched two american eps. But, Naruto is only my.. second favorite anime ever made. There's one even better. Know what it is? Bleach. Hands down, Bleach. The first 10-20 eps of Bleach, however, sucked. Ass. But, after those OhMyGod[x100]. Try it out, if you want. Back to Naruto though. It's the ONLY anime that got me so hooked to it, that I actually read all of the Manga too. I don't know why. I just love both the anime and the manga. Naruto always was my favorite anime, but I lost intrest when all these fillers came out. Oh well. Only, what? 17, 16 more filler episodes left? =/ *sigh* Hmm. Now that I'm thinking of it, Naruto and Bleach are probably tied as the best animes ever made. Yeah. They're both great, and I HIGHLY suggest to anyone and everyone whome hasn't watched them, need to NOW. |

Iv always hated dbz ALWAYS, i am a big fan of the original Dragonball though it's a classic. As for Naruto i think its just as bad as dbz in its prime. |
Added some stuff that was missing, :P
Dixon wrote: Essentially yes Eon as I so said, the point I am trying to make is that the techniques actually differ. Battles have interest. A DBZ fight goes something like this:10 minutes: Krillin gets blown up 15 minutes: OMG, I R GO SSJ8921395! 6 hours: Scream at top of lungs and go glowy 3 minutes: |\|@0 J00 \/\/||_|_ |)|3!!11 2 hours: I think I'm dying |

BTW, if all you watch anime's for is the fights, thats about as shallow as you can get(Otaku Style). Storylines>Battles
Its also preferred to read the Manga before watching any Anime of the series in which your reading. Otherwise you end up with awful concepts of the show. Such as DBZ being prolonged, Naruto having an annoying voice, and the infamous Anime style goofs.
