Love the art! I don't really like the grid, if its a strategy game you could always hide/show the grid when you wanted.

Well, it's for a fantasy based minesweeper type thing, with rpg elements. Sort of need the grid for that. But I do like them so I might try making something else out of them at some point.

Snake, slimes and the vampire dude are lacking in contrast compared to the rest. Use a similar technique to the diamonds to make the slimes.

A few edits. Gave the demon the new wings and changed his horns and tried to add some contrast to a few others.
