Anyone know what actually happened to it? And the newer 'remake' version? Any info would be appreciated.

R.I.P. Hedgerow Hall
It gone cuz peeps couldn't roleplay.
If I am not mistaken, Lexy got angry at the player base in general. She got tired of dealing with ungrateful players and fighting non-RPers. She decided that the best thing she could do to solve the problem was to end it. She took Hedgerow Hall out back one stormy night and took a hammer to it's head. "It had to be done" she exclaimed. On the plus side, the soup that night was really good.
Fighting non-rpers wouldn't be a problem really. i could go into detail if anyone wanted to know a surefire way of doing it, but i dont feel like typing it out unless someone really wanted to know.
But...we had steak that night.
That... wasn't steak... seen your dog recently?

heh... didn't think so.
The best way to make sure participants in a game roleplay is to pick and choose who you let play, from what I've seen. I can't help but wonder if HH was doomed at the start, since it was public.

I don't think so. What I would do (and this WOULD work), is I would make RP channels, to be created by the RP starter. Anyone could start an RP session, and they would have to invite people they wanted to be included in the RP. During the session, only the RPers in the channel could hear each other. The starter could end the session at anytime, or transfer ownership of the session to someone else. Basically like channels, but they would all be invitation only. Anyone can join any session as a spectator (if that is an option the starter sets), but if you wish to RP, than you must be invited. Many RP sessions could be going at once.

When in an RP session, the only thing you could hear (outside of the channel) would be /tells, which you would have an option to ignore. in which case you could check your missed tells at the end of the session.

I might program this system and give people a chance to test it out, and hopefully it will work how i see it in my head.
That sounds good. Kind of what I meant, but still leaving the public aspect. I think that could work, since you're still keeping groups of people isolated from each other.
