That is totally correct, I'm calling it. I might spark some sort of fanboyism or flames but I want to know dammit.

I'm currently setting myself up to get into one of these two and I want to know what is the better one to watch overall.

Now based on one episode I viewed and perhaps other opinions, I have drawn this up.

Ghost in the Shell:
+ Has an awesome dub
+ Interesting atmosphere
+ 26 episodes is the perfect length
- Characters seemed bland
- Difficult to follow

Fullmetal Alchemist:
+ Edward is pretty awesome
+ The whole supernatural power of alchemy is original and enjoyable
- overrated?
- All other characters are somewhat annoying (that damn robot)
- 52 episodes has a high chance of filler

Discuss!
fillers are nice, 4~ for a whole series is great. I wouldn't consider give that a minus.
I prefer FMA its got more emotion and what not going in it...The filler episodes usually aren't annoying or dumb either. Its an overall good story, and youll have to watch the movie on youtube to get the very end. (btw Thats not a robot...thats edward's brother's soul in a suit of armor)

SAC is more intelligent and is just pretty cool because its in the future and all the technology and originality it has. Its story line is alot more...smarter, not emotional really.

I like both, but prefer FMA just because I'm into the whole fantasy, magic kind of thing.
FMA has no filler at all. I dare you to prove me wrong.
Yeah I knew it was his little brother in a suit of armor but for some reason I had a robot term stuck in my head for him.
