Blend an appearance (overlays and all) into a DMI. More or less.

That would be SUPER handy.
Yeah kinda, you can use icon.Blend to render icons onto a DMI, and this thread and its replies made me think about how useful it'd be to allow rendering the whole appearance instead of the individual icon. Too bad you have to start with a huge base icon if you want to do something cool with it, but it'd be a start.
