At the moment, in the forums, to "quote" something it needs to be inlined with a "> ". This gets really confusing for trying to quote multi-line things manually.

It would be much nicer, easier, logical and conventional to just have a set of tags.

You can leave the old functionality in so as to not break things, but switch the quote button to use the new system.
