When I am editing code in an editor such as Sublime Text or Notepad++, I save a lot, like every 5 seconds.
When I am using DM (only for mapping, editing text in DM is terrible IMO), I often don't save, and since DM does crash every once in a while, saving is a very good thing to do.
I think the difference is because editors like Sublime or Notepad++ have indicators whether a file is modified:
This makes me instantly hit crtl + s when I see it.
I'd say even if I'm the only one that does it it'd be a neat addition.
