Well I pretty much got Client Server down for Doon Killer with the help of Gaku. I think if I can finish it by tomorrow I can maybe host and add in a temporary deathmatch mode. The reason why I havent posted so many pictures or made threads about Doon Killer lately is mainly because I am busy and now I am also working on PSP raycasting mods and Ti83 raycasting game called Gangs of Civil War (I am also thinking of remaking it on BYOND). I have to go but I hope to get Doon Killer ready.
PS: What kind of weapons should I have? I am think about a Ak type of weapon, pistol, shotgun, and machine gun.

The AK47 is horribly outdated. I think it would be interesting to see a Fleschette Assault Rifle and maybe a few submachineguns and shotguns in the game.

AK47 is the best-selling weapon in the entire world. You're basically claiming the bible is outdated- sure, they're both old, but they both claim innocent's lives every day with startling efficiency.
P.S. the bible wasn't in Goldeneye 64. Maybe that says something about Christianity's failings in general, eh? |
Well, Telling from the fact that Doon Killer is supposedly a futuristic game, the AK47 would be an anachronism.

Anyways, most countries have been favoring small arms that have:
1. Low Recoil 2. High Projectile Velocity 3. No overpenetration, but enough to penetrate armor What are some ways to achieve this? Lower caliber bullets like the 5.56 NATO. The AK47's 7.62mm x 39mm can't penetrate kevlar armor. It isn't too accurate, and it's got a lot of recoil compared to the AR15. The only advantage the higher caliber has is the stopping power. This is why I suggested a Flechette rifle. Flechette darts gain super, super high velocities. This gives the round a lot of stopping power. Also, the darts have favored projectile behaviors and it doesn't provide much recoil because of the projectile size. Even more, a Flechette Round would be far more accurate than the 5.56 NATO, as demonstrated during the US Army's trials with the Steyr ACR. |
