Yeah, new games don't come out often enough for a true featured games list. A featured games list shouldn't show the same games every day.
The BYOND And Within posts are pretty much featured development lists, so they're the closest we have. | |
I agree with Kumorii. @Anyone with good ideas, I'm currently programming for two games but I'm always willing to give some of my time and help you create your dream no compensation needed.

Featured games was tried before and it was nearly the death of BYOND.
As far as I'm concerned the best games are the games with the most players on them. Sorting options seem fine to me, Popular, Active, Newest, Best Rated. BYOND used to have like 21,000 players online at once in maybe 2008, that was it's height, then at it's height they decided it was a good idea to ONLY show Featured Games and hide every game that was actually had lots of players because they weren't "original". So BYOND basically decided for you which game you could play and which you couldn't, because the games BYOND didn't approve of were nearly unfindable on the site. I literally needed a tutorial to find the games that became hidden. Well after 1 year of that, BYOND hemorrhaged about 80% of its players and never recovered. Now everything is back to common sense but it didn't help bring back those players. | |
Maybe we should consider games with different code-bases as different games as well?
