Toke some of monkey shading suggestions. Looked around at other bases for ideas on how to draw arms, legs and head. I came up with this.

Try making the shades darker, and highlights lighter to add more contrast. I can barely tell there's shading on it (though I can see some).

I edited it up a little bit more. Another note, I've never done a walking state. Any suggestions or tips?
