If i were you i would re-do the shading of the windows,
and make it more "complex".

Example:




I made it actually fast, sorry for that.


And about the walls and the rest of the building ..
i would add it some dithering and more colors.

you can go to the front of the guild website,
go to tutorials sections, and go to the Dithering part.

The stairway looks more like a upside-down attic stairway. Try starting from the top(Small-Big) instead of (Big to small).

Wish I could of showed you some examples but I'm in a rush.

i've made some adjustments to it, stairs are turned upside down, now going from little to bigger.

redone the windows and added some simple lines on the house.

I don't think the bottom edge needs to be bright like the left and right edges. It makes it look a little weird.

This newest version you've made is pillow-shaded. Unlike your old version and Dannys version it has the lightest color surrounded by all these other colors. If you want your mirror looking more like Dannys, don't use so many colors and don't make so many shines (2-3), with 1 of those shines being 2 pixels thick.

pillow-shaded. Yes, basically like hulio said, you might want to fix up your shading and your windows. I can't believe I didn't see the pillow shading, I just figured it was bad shading.

i made a quick edit to your building ..
nothing too big ..

i messed around with the windows and the stairs,
if i was you i would keep working on the door and
the building in general.

i would re-do the walls ..
and dither it around so it
looks like actually wood.
