I think lexy is going to run BYOND in at least6 months. theres no way anyone can argue with her. i bet she could talk anyone into anything becase of the way she sees abstrct things fit together to make a verry arguable point out of thing that were never an argument... iv argued with her quit a bit.. and um..lost. you know... i am really interested in her rilgious belifs. i have my own sortof.. in witch man has no right to think they know anything about it. and that man has no right to claim others ideas are not true. (ohhps.. contrdiction..) that everyone with faith that something or someone is there and watching will find what the had faith in in the end. it sortof mixes in that we are not the only ones in the universe and some races of being may have more insight into realms we cannot see. did you know there are more sightings around disastors and death than most other instances. anyhow. i think lexy is probebly verry close minded about things we cannot see but as i said befor she seems to be able to see the abstract VERRY clearly... just wondering if i can get you email. | |

If I say you're wrong, it's because I believe that you're wrong. Do I have a right to say so? Yes, I do. "You're wrong" is an opinion, a belief. Jobe, if you believe that heaven is a giant flying pancake, OF COURSE I have the right to tell you that you're wrong... because if I believe that heaven is something else, how can I say "heaven is a purple watermelon" without saying "heaven isn't a giant flying pancake?" Even if I don't come right out and say "heaven isn't what you think it is," in so many words, evne saying what I think it is, is saying that I think it's something else. Free speech isn't about what other people can't say about your beliefs... there is no "isn't" in freedom.
I don't respect anybody's beliefs. I don't even respect my own. Respecting a belief is, frankly, stupid. A belief is an opinion. An opinion is nothing. It is the truth that matters. Can we ever know the absolute truth? No. But as long as we recognize that truth is worth striving for more than opinions are worth holding onto, we'll keep refining our opinions, making them more and more like the absolute truth each time... we may never reach that ideal level, but by the time death interrupts us, we'll be a lot closer than we would've been otherwise. If you want to know why I seem to like conflict so much, that's why. It's about the evolution of the idea. If I see an idea, I test it. I hope others do the same with mine. It's easy to look at the things I post in here and conclude that I don't like certain people. Fireking, for instance. More recently, Deadron. The fact is that you would be wrong. Fireking is the only person I regularly converse with on my pager. Deadron is the only person here that I've swapped e-mails with. If I didn't like him, I wouldn't have bothered losing my temper over something he said. Believe it or not, that was the only time I was ever mad when I posted anything here, to anyone.
