Well one of my wierd thoughts on life is... why are fast food employees at TacoBell and Burger King... so depressed looking yet! at McDonalds they're all happy and stuff.. like what do they got Ronald out back entertaining them on breaks?...

Hmmm, fast food workers are pretty much universally disgruntled and incompetent here in southern California. One thing about life that I've learned from observing fast food workers is that most people will fall into jobs that they're slightly (or more than slightly) underqualified to do. The majority of people working fast food can't even get a simple order right (I'm talking about career fast food workers, not necessarily teenagers who do it because nobody else will hire them til they're out of school). The people who were competent enough to do that simple job realized that they could do better and moved on to better paying jobs. This happens at all levels of the career ladder. People generally keep moving up until they hit that job that they can get by on, but aren't great or totally competent at. At this point, they can't go higher even if they tried, and generally they're just happy to be in a job that someone more qualified could do better at.

Thus the whole world is (with some exceptions) mediocre in the workplace. Encouraging, huh? ;-)

one of my thoughts on life isnt a pleasent one,
i think about death every day, and it makes my head really hurt
it causes me cronic head aches from hell!!!

thinking about death, and nothingness is actually complex
what happens after death?
what happens if you do go to heaven?

and think about eternal life, it NEVER ends, NEVER EVER EVER

but then you gotta think about death and no life after death, YOU ARE NOT ALIVE YOU DO NOT EXIST!!!!!!!!

this makes me cry every time i think about it, =(
and im crying right now, hooray

bye now, must leave

I sometimes get depressed thinking similar things, but then I realize it's a waste of the precious time we have if we spend it worrying over the inevitable end. If you go to an amusement park, do you cry all day knowing that you have to leave later on? Not I! I try to fill every cherished moment with as much experience as I can!

Greater people than I have devoted their lives to these questions and found no definate answers. The only way to find the answer for sure is to die, and that's a one way trip. (Even if you believe in reincarnation you must conceed that when you return, you are not the same as you were before and most have little or no recollection of previous lifespans.)

Stop worrying about death and worry about living. Worry about building relationships with people who will remember you and carry your legacy beyond your passing. You will have all the time you want to contemplate the grave when you are in it.

A single moment of eternal life is worthless. A single moment of a brief life is priceless. It's simple economics.

I don't imagine I'm the first person to express such a sentiment, but the wording is mine.

Just FYI... it's usually called "the Peter Principle," from the book of the same name.
