Funny, I don't remember the Palestinians doing anything? Seems some people are in shock or have a very poor understanding of global current affairs.

In a sense, this is likely (note my conditional everyone!) to be all about Palestine and Israel. The existance of Israel is the main point of contention of people likely to have done this.

That doesn't mean that Palestinians were involved...just that their fight was the trigger for these events.

Unfortunately for them, their celebration is likely to be short-lived. While they see the US as the great Satan who was supporting the evil Israel, we have in fact been a constant dragging force on Israel, frequently expressing concern over their actions and pushing them to take the high road.

Now that dragging force is probably gone. Our response now, especially since Israel recently offered Palestine basically everything they wanted and got rebuffed, is much more likely to be "Hey you know what? You guys were right about terrorism and the importance of security -- don't mind us, do whatever you have to to end this conflict."
