What state is everyone in? Or country if you are outside of the United States.

Thanks bunches Hmm, I'll have to get back to you on that one. I can narrow it down to degrees, but not minutes and seconds. |

whuts this Sagittarius Arm? The Sagittarius Arm of the Milky Way galaxy is part of the immense band of stars in the spiral -- the second loop from the rim and third loop from the galactic core, if I remember the galaxy's layout. |

Thanks everyone, I am glad you can discuss one answer to a question and not the question itself.

Cool...
I'm from Norwalk, Ohio... You probably don't know where it is... But you would probably recognize the name "Cedar Point"... It's half an hour south of there... |

Actually, I've often gone right past the dragway on the way to Cedar Point! Nowadays I usually just take the turnpike, though. And I think I'm going to check out Geauga Lake (er, Six Flags) next year, since just about every change to Cedar Point in the last two decades has been for the worse. :) |

I actually live right down the street from the dragway on Rt. 18... Yeah... One of these days I've got to go to Six Flags... As for Cedar Point, though... The only changes that I haven't liked are in the prices...lol I mean... 2 bucks for a 20 oz bottle of WATER? And it did kind of suck when they took out the "dark" rides and the giant slide... Those were the coolest things when I was little...lol But I've loved every new ride they've added... Especially Raptor and Millennium Force... |

Those were the coolest things when I was little...lol Uh-oh, now you've got me started! :) The new rides are fun, yes. But as you noticed, the trend seems to be that for each cool, attitude-packed thrill ride they add, something with more class gets axed. Here's my own list of the honored dead, from about five minutes of reflection: Earthquake Ride Pirate Ride Fun House Rotor Giant Slide Jungle Larry's Big green two-armed Ferris-wheel thing at the front of the park Sky Ride to Frontierland I think they took out the Aquarium, too. And to top it all off, they switched from Coke to Pepsi. Damn. |

Uh-oh, now you've got me started! :) Earthquake Ride Yeah... The Earthquake and Pirate rides are what I was referring to as "dark" rides... Those ruled... But I guess they're not enough of a thrill for today's audience... (which includes me...I'm an adrenaline junkie...lol) I may be showing my age (or relative lack thereof) but I don't remember the Fun House, or the Rotor, or the Double Ferris Wheel... I've been told of their existence, though...lol I'm not sure that I even remember the second Sky Ride going to Frontierland... But again...I've been told about it...lol I do miss Jungle Larry's, though... But Power Tower is such a damned good ride that I don't mind that it took over that piece of land... And I think you're right about the Aquarium... Oceana is now the home of a diving show (which I have yet to watch)... And I think they turned the Aquarium into another arcade...lol And I too am a fan of Coke...so the switch to Pepsi sucks for me, too... Especially at 2 dollars a bottle... Bastards... lol However...while the loss of the old stuff isn't a good thing...I don't really mourn any of it... Like I mentioned...I'm the type that goes there for the high adrenaline stuff... So the big, flashy coasters are what draw me there rather than the "attraction" type things... Also, since I can go there multiple times every year...seeing the same old attractions each time isn't that thrilling... So all I'm left with is the big, adrenaline-producing rides...which are springing up all over the park...lol One problem I ran into this year was that I'm getting too big for some of the older coasters... Especially Mine Ride... I hardly fit in the seat (not width-wise...legroom-wise)... And even the Magnum was a bit of a squeeze... Kept bashing my knees on the front panel of the car... Oh well...I've rambled enough... |
