Which do you think is best(or will be best) I think Ps2 because of the reliability of Sony and the awsome games.(with even more to come soon)

PS2, even though I won't by it, because its the most expensive and also runs all the PS1 games.

I've been following it ever since the E3 when they announced it, and it looks suspiciously too great. :) Plus, Nintendo Power sent me a Demo Disc with a bunch of videos and stuff of it. Star Wars: Rogue Leader looks absolutely stunning, as well as gameplay. I look forward to all three, though. X-Box has Halo, which I've also been following for quite a while. Then again, PS2 has GTA3. Yum. :) I'm in heaven this Christmas. | |
Well, I have not followed/demoed/played/or even seen any of the three, but I'll put my money on Sony. They've been in the biz longer than (uhg...) Microsoft, and have trounced Nintendo in almost every respect. PLaystation held it's own beautifully when the 64 came out ( eveyone said the 64 was going to kill the PSX ) And they already have a superiour number of games and developers who totaly support their system. Remember, when a new system hits the market, devolpers have to learn a new way of doing things. That just blows. You see how poorly Microsoft has handled standards in the past... I can guaruntee that they will try the same bull that they pulled when battling the browser wars. Hopefully, we the gameing industry (yes, we as online game developers are part of that industry) are all smarter than we were before the battle for the internet. I doubt Microsoft will be able to push over such mega-monsters as Sony and Nintendo without a bloddy nose and black eye...

I have to say PS2, Becuase I have one and I LOVE IT, And i have read on some stuff about the other 2 but I heard Xbox sucks and gamecube is gonna be better, BTW I read a article today in a magazine about the Xbox and the Gamecube and It was like they switched the info around on both of them, They were saying the Xbox will change Video games for life and the Gamecube is a basic ting if i remember right.

I suspect that Nintendo will continue to be the "kiddie content" machine and probably sell very well. As for Xbox... on the one hand, Microsoft has put a lot of money into it, and I imagine it will be designed in such a way that porting PC games to it will be relatively trivial--if so, a lot of PC game developers will be producing stuff for it. On the other hand, console gamers expect 24-hour reliability. If the Xbox has problems with crashing (Microsoft design + built-in hard drive = watch out!), it's going to have a rough road. On the third hand, if Microsoft is bound and determined to dominate the console market, they can just dump money into it for as long as it takes to achieve prominence. Me, I've had a PlayStation since 1996 and a PS2 since last year... both have been remarkably reliable, and the variety of games is astounding. I'm pretty much a Sony loyalist at this point. | |
The Xbox is a wonderul invention! It runs games very smoothely, and has wonderful graphics and sound capabilities. It'll all the better when the designers catch hold...

Xbox, basicly because I beleive it has better graphics already, comes with the internet conneciton, and looks better.
