I like them all except the ones for 64 becuase of the gameplay. Its just way different than the othere zelda games and it makes it lame.
My Favorite zelda would have to be either zelda a link to the past for snes or Link's awakening for gameboy. Why?
becuase it is harder than the other zeldas i have played and it has better and funner quests than the other ones and that is why i like them
It would be cool if someone made a online version on byond. I would like to do it but im not sure if someone is making one already.

Somebody already is.

To the topic starter,

The very first Zelda for NES is the best, in my opinion. We've got every Zelda game in existance (one copy each, of course :P), except the two new ones. They just don't look that challenging. =)
Zelda fans (true NES Zelda fans) ought to check out Zelda Classic.

It's awesome:

I recall addict Making one a while ago.but he requested nintendo to make it legal (yes some of us do ask) anyway nintendo requested all byond versions of zelda to be shut down.

There is no reason you can't make your own game in the manner of the Zelda saga, with your own stuff, of course... I would rather play something new, than something that I've already beaten....

I remember when I first heard about Digipen (www.digipen.com) one of the projects a student was doing was a game like Zelda, but with a female character in the lead. It was almost exactly the same as the SNES game, but with her own icons, and story. I would have liked to play that.... I should have gone to Digipen when I had the chance... :::::kicking himself HARD::::::

I've seen it, messed around with a bit... it can't compare to BYOND for general engine potential, but it's still a neat toy. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of reading through some of the posts on the forums they've got set up, and very quickly ran away screaming in horror.

I think they all have their individual pros and cons... the original Zelda is, as always, very nifty. Zelda 2 was a pretty major departure, but it's still a neat game--it actually is probably just about my favorite. Zelda: A Link to the Past was good too, but for me it's just close enough to the original that it feels like more of the same but not close enough to really trigger my nostalgia center. Link's Awakening was kinda neat, kinda quirky, but was considerably too silly in my opinion. Zelda 64 I really enjoyed--having to look around 360 degrees all the time was a bit annoying, but other than that I don't think it was so incredibly radical of a departure, plus the increased freedom of movement meant more potential for different sorts of combat situations (although I don't think that potential was really very well realized except for some of the bosses). Not to mention, it looked pretty damn cool--sure, it doesn't have the world's most advanced rendering engine, but at some point quality of appearance starts to depend more on design quality and less on how many billion polygons you can cram in per square inch, and there were some pretty sweet looking designs in there.
