I will not waste my time criticizing or insulting LexyBitch as 1) she is unlikely to change, and 2) LexyBitch probably revels in the letters of shock and repulsion that she regularly receives.

Instead, I will focus on her antisocial positions, which, after all, are the things that inject even more fear and divisiveness into political campaigns. For starters, we've all heard her yammer and whine about how she's being scapegoated again, the poor dear. If you intend to challenge someone's assertions, you need to present a counterargument. She provides none.

Once one begins thinking about free speech, about brainless wastrels who use ostracism and public opinion to prevent the airing of views contrary to their own unbalanced beliefs, one realizes that many people are incredulous when I tell them that LexyBitch intends to twist the truth. "How could LexyBitch be so complacent?", they ask me. "It doesn't seem possible." Well, it is unmistakably possible, and now I'll explain exactly how LexyBitch plans to do it.

But first, you need to realize that the pen is a powerful tool. Why don't we use that tool to anneal discourse with honesty, clear thinking, and a sense of moral good? If I withheld my feelings on this matter, I'd be no less stupid than LexyBitch. Every time she tells her assistants that a richly evocative description of a problem automatically implies the correct solution to that problem, their eyes roll into the backs of their heads as they become mindless receptacles of unsubstantiated information, which they accept without question. There are two kinds of people in this world: decent, honest folks like you and me and the worst classes of lackadaisical rabble-rousers I've ever seen like LexyBitch. For heaven's sake, there is no place in this country where we are safe from her allies, no place where we are not targeted for hatred and attack.

While she is definitely entitled to ignore good advice from intelligent people, no matter what else we do, our first move must be to educate everyone about how she spews nothing but lame retorts and innuendoes. That's the first step: education. Education alone is not enough, of course. We must also strike at the heart of her efforts to insult my intelligence.

In purely political terms, imperialism was founded on a world system of enslavement and land theft. (Actually, LexyBitch is the type of person who can look you right in the eye and, with an expression of the utmost sincerity, tell you any kind of whopper that suits her purpose, but that's not important now.) If we let her tip the scales in her favor, all we'll have to look forward to in the future is a public realm devoid of culture and a narrow and routinized professional life untouched by the highest creations of civilization. LexyBitch says she's going to procure explosive devices, gasoline, and detonators for use in an upcoming campaign of terror in the blink of an eye. Good old LexyBitch. She just loves to open her mouth and let all kinds of things come out without listening to how morally crippled they sound.

If, five years ago, I had described a person like LexyBitch to you and told you that in five years, she'd deliver an additional blow to dignity and self-worth, you'd have thought me irrational. You'd have laughed at me and told me it couldn't happen. So it is useful now to note that, first, it has happened and, second, to try to understand how it happened and how if she wanted to, she could insult the intelligence, interests, and life plans of whole groups of people. She could portray immoral, abhorrent bureaucrats as hedonists. And she could maintain social control by eliminating rights and freedoms. We must not allow LexyBitch to do any of these. Currently, her ideals merely destroy the values, methods, and goals of traditional humanistic study. As you will see faster than you can say "nondeterministic", this is only the tip of a gigantic iceberg.

Listen up: If we let LexyBitch give voice, in a totally emotional and non-rational way, to her deep-rooted love of stoicism, then greed, corruption, and Fabianism will characterize the government. Oppressive measures will be directed against citizens. And lies and deceit will be the stock and trade of the media and educational institutions. I once managed to get her to agree that she easily impresses her compeers using big words like "phoneticogrammatical". Unfortunately, a few minutes later, she did a volte-face and denied that she had ever said that. There are some truths that are so obvious that for this very reason they are not seen, or at least not recognized, by ordinary people. One noteworthy example is the truism that whenever anyone states the obvious -- that LexyBitch goes ga-ga for any type of jingoism you can think of -- discussion naturally progresses towards the question, "Why doesn't LexyBitch point a critical finger at herself for a change?" This is not a question that we should run away from. Rather, it is something that needs to be addressed quickly and directly, because if LexyBitch doesn't like it here, then perhaps she should go elsewhere. You may wonder why she approximates hideous, superficial unsympathetic-types as far as practical action is concerned, but differs from them in psychology, ideology and motivation. It's simply because implying that her effusions prevent smallpox is no different from implying that it's perfectly safe to drink and drive. Both statements are ludicrous.

The moral of the story: LexyBitch's cop-outs are directionless in theory and horny in practice.

Just my thoughts,
Aeonn
Automatic complaint letter generators doesn't make you look as clever as you think they do.
In response to Shadowdarke
That's okay, it still felt good. (Honestly, this was more fun when no one knew about it.)
In response to Aeonn
If you're going to use complaint generators, you might want to stick with just a paragraph or two at most, since it's a little odd that someone no one knows has nine paragraphs of bad things to say about someone else who's been around a while.
In response to GateGuardian
And inaccurate things, mind you. I could go through the entire paragraphs and point out what was invalid.

But I don't want to.
In response to Spuzzum
Looking at it from that view, you'd probably want about 30 paragraphs so no one would ever bother to read it and pick out whats wrong. It is hard, after all, to get accurate complaints with a random complaint generator.
In response to Spuzzum
sounds valid to me. Just goes to show you how someone can use certain words and big words, and make their selves sound intelligent, just to make you think one thing, and make you believe them.

heh
FIREking
Gosh, I'd hate to be in this LexyBitch person's shoes...
In response to GateGuardian
why does everyone keep talking about a random complaint generator?

Maybe because Aeonn used a random complaint generator.
In response to Spuzzum
Aw, heck, I give in. I'll point out why you should get an accurate complaint instead of one that was pre-made! ;-)

LexyBitch probably revels in the letters of shock and repulsion that she regularly receives.

She'd have mentioned any. She would revel in announcing the sheer idiocy of those who are repulsed by common sense, not revel in receiving messages from them. =)

For starters, we've all heard her yammer and whine about how she's being scapegoated again, the poor dear.

No we haven't. =)

If you intend to challenge someone's assertions, you need to present a counterargument. She provides none.

On the contrary, she continually fights out an argument until the other party is so utterly fed up that they give in for fear of losing touch with humanity.

Lummox JR is also a nice arguer, but that's a digression.

Well, though this might be overstepping my third-party knowledge a bit, I'm sure a non-heterosexual in a heterosexual-dominated society is fighting *for* free speech and against ostracism, not the opposite.

This paragraph itself is oriented towards confusing those who aren't intelligent by presenting uncommon words such as "ostracism" and "complacent", and against naïve youth, it works. Against those who actually care substantially about English (or those who care enough about an argument to disect it in detail, like Lexy does and I am doing), it does not. =)

But first, you need to realize that the pen is a powerful tool.

Lexy likes to point that out, actually. So does Margaret Atwood.

Why don't we use that tool to anneal discourse with honesty, clear thinking, and a sense of moral good? If I withheld my feelings on this matter, I'd be no less stupid than LexyBitch.

Stupid is as stupid does, and, to twist a Shakespearean quote, "I have seen nothing stupid this way come", at least according to my admittedly biased knowledge.

Heh, I consider myself one of her allies. However, I don't give much, if any, hatred publically, though I do mutter under my breath and to friends who have no relation to BYOND at all.

While she is definitely entitled to ignore good advice from intelligent people,

If the average DBZ-game-maker around here is intelligent, they sure don't do anything to make that well-known. And I wouldn't necessarily call their complaints at Lexy very good advice either. =)

no matter what else we do, our first move must be to educate everyone about how she spews nothing but lame retorts and innuendoes.

Hey, the use of innuendo is a classic art form -- naughty but incredibly fun. I mean, it's just exhilirating to be taboo. Speaking of which, has anyone seen my Christmas cookies?

And if a reply on the magnitude of several paragraphs presenting well-founded arguments on "cognitive dissonance" to a comment designed to be harmless is a lame retort, then I'd hate to see what a powerful retort would be. I'm thinking the Gettysburg Address wouldn't even qualify as powerful via that scope.

That's the first step: education. Education alone is not enough, of course. We must also strike at the heart of her efforts to insult my intelligence.

That one actually *is* grounded. Lexy appears to love to insult the intelligence of people who don't demonstrate intelligence. =)

In purely political terms, imperialism was founded on a world system of enslavement and land theft. (Actually, LexyBitch is the type of person who can look you right in the eye and, with an expression of the utmost sincerity, tell you any kind of whopper that suits her purpose, but that's not important now.)

Well, I agree with the expression of utmost sincerity, and the looking straight in the eye, but it would be truth... damning truth.

If we let her tip the scales in her favor, all we'll have to look forward to in the future is a public realm devoid of culture and a narrow and routinized professional life untouched by the highest creations of civilization.

True. But if Lexy had her way and had a society filled with people who used common sense, I'd be more than happy, even if that meant sacrificing technology and civilisation. We're talking world peace here. =P

LexyBitch says she's going to procure explosive devices, gasoline, and detonators for use in an upcoming campaign of terror in the blink of an eye.

Could you point me to the quote? ;-)

Good old LexyBitch.

I agree! Although, that should probably be "good young LexyBitch", since last time I checked she was a post-secondary student.

She just loves to open her mouth and let all kinds of things come out without listening to how morally crippled they sound.

Morally crippled? No. Morally crippling? Yes. Being the recipient of her insults, I can honestly say that it really does *hurt* to have evidence that doesn't have an aspect of falsehood that proves that whatever you did was without a doubt wrong and stupid.

If, five years ago, I had described a person like LexyBitch to you and told you that in five years, she'd deliver an additional blow to dignity and self-worth, you'd have thought me irrational. You'd have laughed at me and told me it couldn't happen.

Also has some ground. I would believe in the ability of people to change. However, this particular statement is irrelevant to the situation at hand. =)

So it is useful now to note that, first, it has happened and, second, to try to understand how it happened and how if she wanted to, she could insult the intelligence, interests, and life plans of whole groups of people.

I agree with that wholeheartedly, which does help my case.

She could portray immoral, abhorrent bureaucrats as
hedonists.

More attempts to confuse the layman. However, I am genuinely confused as to the problem of portraying a bigot as someone who idealises themself in pleasure. The terms are mutually inclusive.

And she could maintain social control by eliminating rights and freedoms.

Wrong again. =)

We must not allow LexyBitch to do any of these. Currently, her ideals merely destroy the values, methods, and goals of traditional humanistic study. As you will see faster than you can say "nondeterministic", this is only the tip of a gigantic iceberg.

Listen up: If we let LexyBitch give voice, in a totally emotional and non-rational way,

She presents things that are too rational. That's why every newbie hates her. And, that's why every intellectual is shocked, appalled, but thinking "I wish *I* had the guts to say that!"

She does say things that are emotional. I agree with that. That shows that she is human.

to her deep-rooted love of stoicism, then greed, corruption, and Fabianism will characterize the government. Oppressive measures will be directed against citizens. And lies and deceit will be the stock and trade of the media and educational institutions.

Further attempts to confuse readers. =)

I like being indifferent to pain and pleasure, myself. It makes me less greedy and less corrupt, not the opposite -- have you ever seen Shaolin monks? They do not speak, nor do they have no material possessions. No communication is painful to a social creature such as a human. Possessions are commonly symbols of pleasure, and by casting them away the monks also demonstrate their indifference to pleasure.

Support or denial of Fabianism is up to the beholder, and in this circumstance, a debate could be formed about the author's biased views against socialism... however, I have no right, nor do I have the inclination, to start such a debate.

I once managed to get her to agree that she easily impresses her compeers using big words like "phoneticogrammatical".

Notice how the word "peer" is changed to "compeer". Why would someone use an incommon word such as "compeer" when "peer" suffices and is truer to the argument? I see here yet another attempt to confuse a reader. This in itself is hypocritical -- using big words incorrectly to cajole people who use big words incorrectly.

Unfortunately, a few minutes later, she did a volte-face and denied that she had ever said that.

A transcript would be handy.

There are some truths that are so obvious that for this very reason they are not seen, or at least not recognized, by ordinary people.

More hypocrasy. The document that claims this uses words that a layman would not use. In other words, the argument is misleading, and cannot be recognised by ordinary people either.

One noteworthy example is the truism that whenever anyone states the obvious -- that LexyBitch goes ga-ga for any type of jingoism you can think of -- discussion naturally progresses towards the question,

More statements that are the exact opposite. There are a good deal of things that Lexy likely disagrees with in the government.

However, I have no doubt that she is proud to be an American. Hell, I'm proud to be a Canadian.

"Why doesn't LexyBitch point a critical finger at herself for a change?"

Hmm... while that's not a bad idea, I have seen very little reason for her to admit her own faults, as none seem apparent (other than an unwillingness to lose, which is also a strength =) ).

This is not a question that we should run away from. Rather, it is something that needs to be addressed quickly and directly, because if LexyBitch doesn't like it here, then perhaps she should go elsewhere.

Lexy likes it here as far as I can tell.

What?! That is the dumbest thing I've ever read. Even if this argument were true, an effusion has no relevance to smallpox whatsoever, unless it is referring to the medical sense which is an allusion to an argument that still hasn't been clearly identified. And I fail to see how that is an analogy to drinking and driving.

The moral of the story: LexyBitch's cop-outs are directionless in theory and horny in practice.

Horny... that's an odd word to use.

(Where on Earth did you get this document? It's biased, it likes going off on random tangents on subjects with no relevance to the complaint, and in parts, it sounds just plain idiotic.)

It uses "certain words and big words, and make their selves sound intelligent, just to make [the gullible] think one thing, and make [those who don't bother to understand the words they read] believe them."

After you see a few of them, you recognize the pattern of inflated rambling which doesn't actually relate to the subject person or company at all. In one of the forums I used to frequent, they got completely out of hand. You couldn't find anything for the flood of pointless random complaint letters.

I had a link, but considering the mentality of some around here I've decided not to post it.

If you see a long letter, don't believe it just because it's long and has "big words". Fire up those synapses and try to process the words. Consider whether it presents a valid argument. As Spuzzum pointed out, that complaint has nothing to do with Lexy.
