Absolutely! I go to sleep when I feel tired, whether it is 6 PM or 6 AM. If I was working on a tough problem before I went to bed, I usually awake with an answer to it. The trick is to write it down before my mind fills with the clutter of the waking world. I always keep a notebook near my bed. :) A 10 minute nap solves a problem more quickly for me than an all-night coding frenzy (which usually introduces more problems than it solves.)
