72 years ago, a man was born. He spent his life passively fighting as a civil rights leader. On April 4, 1968 he was assassinated, but he still lives on in our memories and what he's done for our country still takes place today. Happy birthday, Martin Luther King, Jr.
Actually, he was born a little more than 72 years ago... this is just the day that postal workers and teachers take off to celebrate that fact. Nevertheless, it's as good a day as any to remember the reverend doctor... and more importantly, to remember that the things he fought against still happen.

As my partner likes to dig at me: "The KKK and your employer are the only people who don't honor this day..."

Yeah, the school here doesn't close on MLK day, so I was up bright, and early teaching...

I'm a teacher's assistant, and the teacher is sick, so yes I'm the teacher until he gets back.

Actually you're right, he was born in 1929, but 72 was in the year 2001. So it would be his 73rd birthday.
