Hey. Y'all know what this website needs? That's right, screenshots! Everyone loves screenshots and those two on the "start here" page don't satisfy my need for screenshots. I want to be able to see pictures of all of the different games that everyone is making. But yeah, got to run, schools over and I have to get my ride to my friends house so I can work on Maeva!

I was just thinking about this the other day, and even took a few screenshots myself. People could submit screenshots to be included on some big collage web page. The pictures on the "start" page are outdated anyway, so we can put this other idea in place when we fix that up. We're just about past the final fixes to the software, so we should be able to get to the web and forum updates any day now. |

What's more, screen shots will help show the differences between the lousy games and the good games... to a certain extent anyway, that is. It'll give people a very visual, quick idea of what the game interface is like. This could also be good for newbies who suddenly realize BYOND can do board games as well as RPGs or actionish games. I was thinking about this as well, when you were taking those screen shots, I thought you should put up a few on the start page mainly of the oldbie made games, like Bunniflip, and DragonSnot.

A collage might help developers see what BYOND can do. However, those who just want to play games could use some more advertising when window shopping.
How about somehow encouraging more developers to use screenshots on individual game pages? Impulse buying counts when you want money. :) |

I really need to put some fresh ones up, but I want to revamp the banner and title graphics first (as soon as I decide what I want them to look like). Most people don't visit the Tanks site until they've played. The banner and title screen make the first impression. |

I have to agree with this... there's a huge variety of attractive games out there now. A few more teasers on the start page might go a long way toward keeping people around long enough to take the step of installing BYOND.
