Ummm, its too complicated to explain.
Lee if your on, i read it in the Times that 90% of Americans and Canadians dont know what cricket is. Secondly there was a public opinion poll "Are Americans/Canadians Stupid?" 89%= Yes 11%=No Note:I say No, beacause the people on the Forum are not stupid(may be the DBZers but thats it) |

You should see the stupidity poll that Americans took about the Brits. look it up online.

Odd that we were lumped in with the Americans...
(Note: sample output -- this data was not compiled via any actuarial data.) Canadian poll: "Are the Americans stupid?" 98% = Yes 2% = No American poll: "Are the Canadians stupid?" 98% = Yes 2% = No |

"Are Americans/Canadians Stupid?" A fairer poll would probably have given more accurate results: British poll: "Are Americans (US) stupid?" 100% = Yes 0% = No British poll: "Are Canadians stupid?" 35% = Yes 65% = No Data was compiled using the Spuzzum Method (tm). |
Yup... It's a small insect that makes chirping noises...
lol (Yes...I'm American... And it's not stupidity that keeps us from understanding things like "Cricket"...it's just that we don't care...lol) |

From what I understand, it's like american Football, without the inclusion of heavy padding and the forward pass. The scoring may be different also, who knows? Correct me if I'm wrong.
-Lord of Water, not a cricket fan [Edit] Note: I am American! Brits are not stupid, they just talk funny. :-P [/Edit] |

No, no, no. One country against another is is cliche. Jock intelligence versus geek is a classic. (Besides, it's more difficult to figure out who is on what side since they don't fully exist.)
How many Americans love Red Dwarf? Those are the smart ones. How many Brits love Buffy the Vampire Slayer? Those are the smart ones. |

How many Brits love Buffy the Vampire Slayer? Those are the smart ones. I dont watch T.V apart from The Champions League, Arsenal matches, DBZ and Formula 1. A lot of sad people in Britain like to watch soaps i hate them more that 1,000,000,000,000 Genesis rippoffs |

This is roughly what I've gathered from mouthy people:
Canadian poll: "Are the Americans stupid?" 38% = Yes and I'll troll tv and the internet to prove it! 30% = They have guns and I'm not going over there 30% = Mmmmm Malls 2% = No American poll: "Are the Canadians stupid?" 10% = Yes 20% = No, that's not PC 10% = Mmmmm Beer 10% = Mmmmm St Kathrine's 10% = Just keep them behind me in traffic 38% = Who cares? 75% from each poll said you you you oughta know that Alanis Morissette is Canadian so stop using her to insult Americans about the meaning of irony. ...That said, I'm in my mid-20s. My all-American kid is a Canadian in a time-travelling Delorean. PS: Having gone through Cornwall multiple times in my youth, I still don't get the joke in Canadian Bacon about Canadian air being more fresh. I don't think sulfur cares about borders. |

A part from Lee and any one else British In ninth grade English we studied Victorian England. We had many choices for our crowning project, and one of them was to "make a Victorian game, or teach the class how to play a Victorian game/pastime." So part of my project was learning the rules of cricket and teaching the class how to play. None of them got it, which is obviously (if you've read my BYOND tutorial) due to their stupidity and not to any fault of my own at explaining the thing. The only other thing I remember from those projects was that somebody made a victorian dessert that had spaghetti in it. Z |
