There was recently this guy named Phenix_Master who logged into some game that I was playing. He stated that he had a 'Mistic Bann' which would 'bann' you from all of BYOND for 10 days. I didn't exactly believe this.
A few days later, this guy logs in again, and is called gay by someone. He then says that he has been on BYOND for 4 years, and that he is "[Mystic Sage Barror] Phenix Master," and that he has GM powers for every game on BYOND. He then said something about how he and a "Rale" are working on the new BYOND version. Next, he rambles on about a clan that he has, with 200 people, all of whom have GM powers on every game. I then check his key, which was made on 12/29/01.
Have you ever heard something so downright stupid, or what?

Someone who "asked" me for help the other day claimed he knew Rale, as if that was supposed to give me some sort of incentive to help him. Believe me, I've probably contributed about twenty or thirty dozen times more stuff to BYOND. Even if Rale did have the privileged position that he blatantly lies about, I still would be in a more influential position, I would believe. =P | |

Because they know he's an idiot, and they can therefore sign everything that is doomed to crash eventually, but in the mean time rakes in a large profit over to him. It's a good system, too :o)

I want to know who this 'Rale' guy is. Everybody (mostly newbies that ramble on, all caps on the forum) says he owns almost all of BYOND, has GM powers in every game and so on. Personally, I think its a bunch of crap. I remember this one post that someone posted, ranted on about how Rale would ban Nadrew and me, for not helping him. I just wanna know WHO he is....

I'd reckon it's someone who's taking advantage of people's newbie-ness to claim that they own BYOND. Doing so would make poor gullible newbies think it's true, since they don't know any better. In the process it gets the someone's who are taking advantage of this more respect, since they can threaten any newbie they want and if they believe them, they'll listen.
