I honestly don't care who's doing it. It applies to anyone.

Really, do you have to add "fancy" words just to sound intellegint (my keyboard is on strike)? Even if you do normally talk that way, can you atleast make it readable (I'm making a fool of myself, and I like it!) and not have to go to www.dictionary.com and look up about half those words? Or, do you just go look for words for about 30 minutes to try to sound "highly sophisticated"? Now don't take this personally, infact soem of my best friends talk like that, no wait, they dont, but that's besides the point, (gosh, how many comma's am I going to add?) what I'm trying to get at, is half the people here have to look up about 75% of the things you say to respond with something witty. I talk like this all the time, no wait, only when I'm not trying to impress people, but that's... oh forget it..

Most Average DBZers would keep the Kamehameha, and other things. But my Friend Devil Man(I am not helping him make a DBZ game) only has the looks and Capsule corp involved from DBZ the rest is all original :)

Here's a tip: Most of the people on BYOND who make something other than so called "DBZ Clones" hate people who make them and discourage them. Remember, no matter what anyone says, just make the game if you really want to, after all, there is NO WHERE that I've seen that says "On BYOND you can't make anything that is or resembles a fan game.". Good luck.

If it's any consolation, I had to look it up to make sure it meant what I thought it meant.

It did, so I used it. =)

Okay first of all you are hypocryts. You first tell me to not "pollute" the forum with something that doesn't need to be said because it doesn't mean anything. Then Leftley posts something, which is obviously going to make me post something back, therefore he is "helping" me with the pollution process. Then Zilal posted something about Spuzzum using the word "cogent". I don't know about you but acting suprised about somone using that word has less to do with anything than what I was saying. THEN Spuzzum writes back telling us he wasn't sure if he knew what it meant. WHO CARES?! I mean I'm proud of you for knowing such a big word and all. Super16 made a stupid comment about the previous post and how he had to "decode" it because of the bad grammar and puncuation. So I noticed he had left out a period at the end of his statment, so I decided to say something to him about how he had messed up. So Leftley if you want to get on my case about saying something that doesn't need to be said(in your opinion)why don't you say something to Zilal and Spuzzum? Can they do no wrong?

It's not that I'm not light-hearted. It's just that they got on my case by doing exactly what they were getting on my case about. And then when they do it, it's funny or something, I don't know about you but that seems pretty stupid to me.

You are now entering... the Twilight Zone.. but seriously, I totally agree. That was very rude and EVERYONE makes exceptions and almost never argues against people such as Spuzzum, Zilal, ect. or atleast say when they are mistreated and then they do something they were told not to. I myself have become quite aggravated at the way byond treats all new people.

Believe it or not, I really do talk that way. Yes, Virginia, there is a person with more than a 500-word vocabulary.

"Cogent" isn't quite in my everyday language yet, though.

Well, they can do wrong, but they rarely do. But that's not why I'm posting. I'm posting because I want to thank you for bringing the phrase "Hold the phone, Mabel!" to my attention. I expect to use it incessantly from this point forward!

Who's getting on whose case here? It seems that you've still got more posts on this branch of the thread than anyone here, and there's not any that aren't trying to pick at someone. I don't really find Zil or Spuzzum's posts about his word choice particularly funny--they're amusing at best--but they make it pretty clear that those posts are intended in jest. Maybe I didn't give you the benefit of the doubt that I should have and I have jumped to the wrong conclusion, and you and Super16 are really good friends and those back-and-forth posts between you two are some inside joke that you both enjoyed considerably. If so, then I apologize, though I'd advise you to make it a bit clearer when you're just kidding with someone. Other than that, however, I really don't see how friendly banter (and not particularly harsh banter, at that) is "exactly" the same as a snippish little squabble between strangers.

I dont know what you're talking about, because again you've jumped to the wrong conclusion. I don't know Super16 and I'm actualy not too fond of him. I wasn't trying to be funnny or mess around with him either.

Please re-read my post; I jumped to no conclusions. I was discussing a hypothetical scenario, one which didn't seem particularly likely to me but would explain and justify your attitude here. To reiterate, I don't intend to "get on" Spuzzum or Zilal's cases for their little interchange because I know that they are friends having a little fun with each other, which isn't particularly relevant but serves little purpose to condemn (if they had gone back and forth with 20 different posts each on one of the more "serious" boards, that would've been a problem, but I don't think either of them would be so inclined). You, on the other hand, just started picking at Super16's posts and kept it up--being pointlessly derogatory (what you were doing) is nowhere in the same league as pointlessly jesting (what Spuz and Zil were doing).

Bottom line, I think Foomer hit the nail on the head when he said you needed to lighten up. Sure, you had a point in demonstrating that Super16 probably shouldn't be making anything of others' spelling and grammar when his fall short of perfect themselves (though making much of others' spelling and grammar at all is a bit annoying, in my opinion), but was it really worth having this whole argument over? At any rate, I'm done, because I don't see this argument going anywhere constructive in the near future.

In that bold part of what you said I don't see how you don't understand why I said you jumped to a wrong conclusion again. And if somone posts something trying to "cut me down" or whatever, I'm not just gonna act like nothing happend, I mean...if somone makes fun of you or says something that you disagree with and you don't say anything back, well then that's your problem. Just like now, I mean you keep writing back, you're just as guilty as "polluting" the forum as much as I am.

The distinction here is that you were being pointlessly negative... playful banter back and forth might not need to be said (in the end, does anything need saying), but it is beneficial... and if someone's post is so poorly written as to be incomprehensible, it does benefit them to ask for clarification.

On the other hand, it wouldn't benefit anyone for me to point out that you clearly have no idea where commas need to go, nor how to spell "hypocrite," so I won't, and the forum will be better for it. So, to rephrase something Deadron says all the time that I can't perfectly remember, before you post, ask yourself, is this a post that is going to make the world a better place, or worse?
