Even if there is a character resemblance; the can do nothing. That's not even coherent, let alone founded in intelligent thought. Legally, your justification for DBZ ripoffs holds about as much water as a sewer grate. Just spelling a few names differently, but keeping true to DBZ in all but the most technical details, doesn't get you off the hook. If you're looking for absolution to go ahead with such a project, look elsewhere. Lummox JR |

Just thought I oughta tell you. 0_0 mob Harvard_Graduate |

Well if you were a Harvard Graduate then you would know an emoticon is an icon based on ones emotions. I wouldn't want you to get in trouble since you have only been here for a month. |

Does it need to have someone worrying about whether it should have "Graduate" capitalized? And on that note, does anyone have any right to continue to pollute the forum with a grammatical debate that is neither cogent nor helpful? |

Cogent! He said cogent! Showoff! If it's any consolation, I had to look it up to make sure it meant what I thought it meant. It did, so I used it. =) |

I had to read through your replies, then take a careful look at both my post and the original. It seems you replied to the wrong post, so when you said "you" it confused the crap out of me. I doubt its in infringement if the characters look alike.

Find out and stop rambling cluelessly. http://www.loc.gov/copyright/faq.html The DBZ characters are likely trademarked in addition to basic copyright. Your friend is asking for a world of hurt listening to your unfounded legal counsel. |

Just because other people are doing it, doesn't mean you can do it too.

Wow, thanks for the great legal advice! I never thought these forums would have someone with a law degree from... uh... where was it you said you went to law school?
