If anyone likes this then I would like to say that one of my College mates has made a website upon it because he is a very good fan of Star Trek and he just loves it. He wanted me to see if any of you lot like Star Trek and instead of doing that I thought I would post the link to his newly done site based upon Star Trek.
So if anyone likes ST please visit his site and tell him what you think ^_^

I also deeply loathe the term "Trekkers", when clearly the correct term is "Trekkies" (singular: Trekkie). Well, i watched a show about star trek. It was about all the fans, conventions and such. And someone said something like, "There is much debate over the term of star trek fans. There are Trekkies, which is the original term, and now used for fans of star trek, where as Trekker is a more involved fan, which dresses up at conventions, or even every day." -Rcet |

Well i agree with lummox, and the sites colors suck, well the colors and the way there in there. Maybie the make should look at star trek.com and look at any pic of a computer panel for the way to do it. Truely the best way for him to do it is to make it look like a data node(note?not sure how its spelled.) Ok thats all i got to say.

But the HTML is broken, the constant misspelling of Star Trek with a hyphen is even worse than my words could describe, and lumping non-Trek shows in with Trek without bothering to properly classify them is just plain sloppy. It needs work. But before that work is done, the Webmaster needs to be slapped upside the head for the hyphen thing. Then he needs to move the episodes off the FTP server before he gets himself sued into oblivion by Paramount/Viacom and Wanrer Bros. Lummox JR |

Thanks for the info Lummox, and nothing was taken personally from me but the more feedback for him the better.
I would also like to say he did code that in besides afew things as he used Dream Weaver 4 I think(It was either Dream Weaver 3/4 anyway) Anyway I like what ya wrote, give me something to read hehe plus it will give him alot to think of and what to do for the near updates :) Anyway thanks for all who replied here and a very special thanks to Lummox for his gratitude in writing what he did as that will come in handy ^_^ Also Lummox, you will be the one telling him as I will show him your thread when I see him next so he can see what needs to be done from his viewers ^_^ Lee |
The following is intended as somewhat constructive criticism. The tone will at times be harsh, inflammatory, or derisive, because some of the errors involved are, well, rock stupid. It's all easy to fix, except the domain name.
I think he needs to work on his HTML some more, because in Netscape 4.7x his layers overlap each other, rendering the site partially unreadable.
I also deeply loathe the term "Trekkers", when clearly the correct term is "Trekkies" (singular: Trekkie). This is the subject of much heated debate of course, not so much a problem on the site. I just felt like sounding off about it.
Okay, here's where it's gonna turn nasty:
Only a complete fool could count Farscape or Babylon 5 (despite being a Trekkie, I rate these as obviously superior) as part of the Trek lineup, since they have absolutely nothing to do with it. Furthermore, Andromeda is not a Star Trek series, but merely one created (sort of) by the late Gene Roddenberry; and if that's going to be listed, then Earth: Final Conflict should be there with it for the exact same reason. Therefore, this following list of "Some Star-Trek Episode's We Have" is unfathomably stupid, even if you overlook the apostrophe in "episodes", or the mysteriously inappropriate hyphen in "Star Trek" which is repeated all over the page:
In all that's not so much a game of "What's wrong with this list?" as it is of "What's wrong with the guy who wrote this list?" I cringe just to look at it.
Dangit, if you're going to devote a site to sci-fi TV, then do that; don't lump non-Trek shows in with Trek shows and call them part of the family. If they want to call attention to the fact that several other series are also available for download, those belong in a different list and should not be referred to as Star Trek shows. (By the way, the entire enterprise--pun not intended--is blatantly illegal, at least as far as putting it all on a site for download; simple file sharing is more of a gray area. Viacom was ruthless a while back about ordinary Star Trek fan sites; they're not going to be pleased about having whole episodes up for download. And B5 at least is a Warner Bros. distribution; WB is vicious past the point of tyranny in its dealings with fan sites and copyright issues.)
And please tell this guy to stop spelling "Star Trek" with a hyphen; seeing that makes me deeply ashamed for the human race on a level that not even the insipid Fear Factor can inspire. Next to that, putting Farscape and Babylon 5 in the above list is practically the work of a Nobel laureate.
