I never hear anything from moderate muslims, except on this forum. If they're pissed that their religion gets grouped together with these groups be vocal! The US government openly denounced the KKK, and white people all over the world loathe Nazis, and they're VOCAL ABOUT IT.
You're seriously suggesting that they should go out of their way and be more in-your-face than the extremists to show they're not associated and, if they fail that and the extremists go taking out two U.S. towers it should then be their fault? Yes, except for that last bit, they're obviously not responsible for attacks by fundies. But again they're religion gets this bad image from fundies because they are much much more vocal. If an Anglican priest made statements about him hating muslims and all minorities, the church would go well out of its way to punish/denounce the priest. If the muslims aren't speaking out against what these Imams say, then how are we supposed to get a good picture of their religion? I'd also like to add that the situation is magnified by the sheer amount of these fanatical leaders in the Muslim world. |
Dear Worldweaver,
Take the time to read even a little part of the Koran. Or go Wikipedia the Islamic religion. It's important to understand what you hate; it'll make you at least seem smart. 'k? Thanks. |
Dear EXGuo,
Please leave the flames at home. I don't hate Islam, I have Islamic relatives. Please understand who you flame, it'll make you at least seem smart. I'd like to add that I've probably read way more stuff on the issues than you have ignoramus. Finally, please don't be a puppet of Xeal, choose who you like and don't like by yourself. 'k? Thanks. |
I love how people say "I have this race/religion in my family/close relationship," and that makes it perfectly fine say anything about them.
If you really do have/now Islamic relatives, aren't you accusing them of being Fundamentalists as well? Wouldn't that make them part of the "problem?" Go ask them what Islam is about. I'll bet that they won't say something along the lines of "We hate America." It's probably something peaceful, maybe spiritual. I don't know exactly. And I doubt that Muslims don't denounce radicals' activities. Look at what happened with Bin Laden and his family. O SRY I JUMPED AROUND. RLY TIRED. EDIT: Awesome job editing that last message like 5 times. |

They got kicked out of America by Non-Muslim Americans? |
I never hear anything from moderate muslims, except on this forum. EDIT: ...I never knew bin Laden's family lived in the US? DOUBLE EDIT: OH SORRY WORLDWEAVER. I gotta go. We can continue this later. |
I never hear anything from moderate muslims, except on this forum. Umm yeah, I don't. They're out there and need to be more vocal. Brush up on your reading skills pal, because that has nothing to do with all muslims being fundies. I never knew bin Laden's family lived in the US? They visited alot for meetings with our government. |
"I never hear anything from moderate muslims, except on this forum."
I dunno on the news channels I watch they usually have a couple of muslims saying "yeah these fundamentalist guys suck". Maybe it's because you're a right wing American ='( |
I dunno on the news channels I watch they usually have a couple of muslims saying "yeah these fundamentalist guys suck". So like BBC and stuff? We dunt get the down hurr in 'merica Maybe it's because you're a right wing American capitalist pig-dog or something. Stop... hurting.. my heart :( Either way it doesn't really matter because the real problem at hand is the fact that you clearly hate minority groups. Eh, you caught me. :( |

Chyea, who live about 4000 miles away. Now, I know my point about having Islamic relatives doesn't mean I don't hate them. But you'll have to take my word for it.
