Ultimatum is already the name of a quite popular game.

Excellent work! If the ranking system were worth a damn, this game would deserve the top spot.
I have a few suggestions. I’m sure that you’re already planning on implementing most of these, but here is a quick list of the stuff that would be cool to see in a future update: Sometimes the sound effect that notifies you that your turn has started doesn’t play. Only have the teamsay verb visible when you’re actually on a team Add the option to turn off music and sound effects separately Add an ignore command to ignore either individual players or the worldsay channel Does the turn timer work? This is a definite must. When an enemy unit is adjacent to your unit, the enemy should be only allowed to move one square if they are attempted to pass you. Ex: I block a bridge, but the enemy just waltzes right by me diagonally. It would be nice if they were limited to one square of movement if trying to pass. Finally, at least putting in some sort of temporary help file is soooo necessary! |
I tried this game for the first time. Turns out people weren't exaggerating about how good it was.

I’m sure that you’re already planning on implementing most of these, but here is a quick list of the stuff that would be cool to see in a future update: I'm all ears for suggestions. Sometimes the sound effect that notifies you that your turn has started doesn’t play. If two player have the same faction, the sound won't re-play, since it's essentially the same sound. If it helps, I can add a beep or ringing noise (togglable, of course!) to let the player know that it's their turn or a turn has passed. Only have the teamsay verb visible when you’re actually on a team That'll be done by the next update. Add the option to turn off music and sound effects separately Alright. I'm planning on putting in a more advanced sound system later on, so you will be able to toggle them seperatly later. The sound toggle right now will still be there, but will toggle all audio. Add an ignore command to ignore either individual players or the worldsay channel That will also be done by the next update. Does the turn timer work? This is a definite must. Yeah, I planned on finishing that a week ago, but other things had a priority before, but I'll try to get that done soon enough. When an enemy unit is adjacent to your unit, the enemy should be only allowed to move one square if they are attempted to pass you. Ex: I block a bridge, but the enemy just waltzes right by me diagonally. It would be nice if they were limited to one square of movement if trying to pass. I actually planned on having something similar like this. The turfs cardinal to you (north, south, east, and west) is a "zone of control", and as you said, units will not be able to move any further if they hit one tile in their zone of control. Of course, some faster stealth units will have a "skirmishing" ability to go past the zone, and will most likely be very useful for modes like "Capture the Flag". ;) Finally, at least putting in some sort of temporary help file is soooo necessary! Yeah, I got sidetracked by that, but I promise to have a decent help file, if just temporary, by the next hosting session! Thanks for your suggestions and input, I appreciate them! |
Very nice game. Just the forms and graphics are really nice. I will put this on my favorites :)
edit, i put it from 28 to 27. |
It did. I checked what it was (28) added it to second and it is in a tie for 27.
BYOND Rank: 27 |
I guess I missed it. I'm curious to see "the best game on BYOND, regardless of category. No contest."
