Chat Questions

I dont know how many people have seen my chat system.... but I have a few questions (err poll)

How it is set up now each user can only be in one room. Thus he can only hear what that room is saying and he can only post in that room.

Would it be more useful for you guys if I made it so a user can be in multiple rooms like:

Global Room
Zone Room
Group Room

So like if someone in your group said "Lets kill that mob!" it would look like this:

Random-L-User1:(GROUP): Lets kill that mob!
or if someone is shouting in the zone
Random-L-User2:(GLOBAL): YOUR ALL PUNKS!!!

So what do you think?

You're not 100% right there Kappa.

Creations are mainly for Creations
Bug reports mainly for Bug Reports and so on.

You should abide by those and put them in the correct section, but, Babble is about anything you want to talk about and you can talk about things like this in this section.

But, say we had a bug problem and we were talking about it in here then it wouldn't necessarily be right, as we should really be talking about it in the Bug Reports section.

Get what I mean?

You are more or less right though Kappa ^_^

(I am not after getting on at you I am just pointing out afew things so don't take it as though I am out to get you as I ain't like that ^_^)

I don't. It's not a Creation. It's iffy in the Design Philosophy department. It's definitely not Newbie Central or Code Problems. It's not a Bug Report, and it's the furthest thing from something suitable for General. He's not advertising for a design crew or anything, so Classified Ads is right out. Hence, Babble.


Besides all that, Babble is designed to be the place where you put things that you're unsure of. You can very well post a Bug Report in here if you don't think it classifies as a Bug Report.

that would be cool, but people would just use globle than rooms would be point less, so make it so you have a buddy list.That way if there online you can tell them what room to go too with out using byonds pager. But globle just seems like a bad idea. You should have a main lobby that everyone starts in though.
