That's true. We both basically just try to convince the person to stop what they're doing, which, like I said, won't be necessary when there's moderation. I'm not against anyone being a moderator, if they take the responsibility seriously and with an eye towards keeping the forums peaceful and clean.

I couldn't really moderate a board well. I have before and may again one day, but I'm just not very good at it. My only hope is that despots who will delete posts on a regular basis are kept out of the moderation system. I won't name any of those despots, but I have a definite list of them in my head. My nominations would have to be so:
Sariat He is not so opinionated that he will jump at just anything, he's a nice and fair guy, and he's been around here for awhile. Mellifluous He's a bit extreme at times, but overall he's pretty cool and definately a decent guy. FuzzyDice, formerly GreenDice Sometimes former abusers make the best anti-abusers. Like Sariat, he's a pretty lax guy who knows his place when it comes down to it. Flick I can't think of a single negative thing to say about Flick. He's smart, occasionally witty, and all-around nice. He'd make a good mod. Just my two BYONDimes. -Lord of Water | |

I don't think Lummox or I would make good moderators, though. We're not moderate people. Our very presence immoderates the forums. Is there such a thing as an extremator?
