It's really hard to tell who's "best" at it. It's easy to say who's good at it, but who's best is much more difficult. I base most of my opinions on someone's general experience and the amount of "niftyness" they use in their programming, or what I've seen of it.

Who are the top 5 coders, top 5 graphics producers, and top 5 people for original ideas? Well I'm definantly one of the top 5 for being the longest on BYOND :). |

Silk wiz game DWO is not that hard at programming, its about mid-high lvl. I have not played any other games of his so i dont know how good he truely is. But im sure that DWO has alot of code. But what good game doesnt. so i would not say silk is the best, but im sure he is good. But i would not be on byond today if it was not for DWO. So i thank thee silk for making the game i first played on byond.

Can't believe you guy's forgot about ShadowDarke! He's good. Scoobert, if SilkWizard is Mid-level, then your very-Low level. RaeKwon |

I might skirt the issue of trans-gender and sexual preference, though (see asterisk). Frankly, that's something that most people probably wouldn't want to know about a game universe. My urge to shout "We are everywhere!" is at war with my deep and abiding respect for puns. |

This was a "top 5", not "who's good" question. Shadowdarke is good, but I wouldn't put him in the top 5. (Unless he knows more than I think he does.)

You cannot determine a person's knowledge or ability to wield a language simply by the player perspective of some game. You do not see the source code, nor do you have the slightest idea how challenging the different aspects of a game may have been to develop.
Not to mention, the game might not stretch SilkWizard's abilities to their max. Alathon\\ |

dude have you played TBG, that has some avanced coding. but anyways i know about most of the stuff in DWO and i know how hard it is. I have made a few turn based games but none of them made it past alfa before i started somthing new. and i did say it was mid-hard not just mid. And if my games are very low lvl, that must make yours like ultra low. Your code is rarly anthing to hard.

I have played TBG, nothing special in it, ever try FFO? wait till version 2.1B, I can outcode you Scoob, im not meaning to brag but from the looks that must make yours like ultra low. Your code is rarly anthing to hard. You are. Trust me, ive played everyone of your games, and i didnt see anything special about the codeing. Want to see advanced codeing? go to Living Dead, or Tanks. RaeKwon |

When people here the words: transgender, gay, straight, bi, etc. the word sex is often what comes to mind or into a discussion. If you don't want sex in your game then you probably don't want to address those issues.
I'm not here to discuss whether they're about sex or not, I'm just saying that's the perception (from what I've seen anyway). |

That, and I don't like to bring debatable issues that belong in reality into the game.

I drew the base charactar at first, even though they looked like soccer players =P I just animated Theodis's design for his charactars like how he used my base outline and made em look diff (Wizard, spy, fighter, alchemist) :-D BTW Theodis was the first person I worked for when I came to BYOND...
